At Horizon Montessori, we offer an enriching Extended Day Program for our 3-6 year-old who attend preschool, ECDP and Kindergarten, providing a seamless extension of the Montessori experience beyond the traditional school day.

Get to Know your Extended Program Fee
We Charge $20 per Hour
The extended hours subsidy supports families who need childcare outside regular hours (6 am to 6 pm) or on weekends. In addition to the subsidy, families can receive an extra $100 per month per child.
* Extended hours subsidy is available for children in full-time kindergarten to grade 6 who are enrolled in a licensed program outside of regular school hours and approved for the Child Care Subsidy Program.
* Our licensed program provides extended hours from 5 am to 6 am and 6pm to 9pm Monday to Friday.
* The child must need 4 or more extended hours of care in a month for the family to receive the additional $100.

Children will have the opportunity to dive deeper into their interests through specialized activities tailored to their developmental stages.
Creative Exploration
The program encourages creative expression through art, music, movement, and storytelling. Our Montessori-trained educators provide a nurturing environment where children can explore their imagination and develop fine motor skills in a supportive setting.
Outdoor Play
Physical development is just as important as academic learning. Our extended day program includes outdoor time for free play, games, and nature Building on social skills learn exploration, fostering physical fitness, coordination, and social interaction.
Social and Emotional Growth
Throughout the day, children engage in group activities, collaborate with peers, and develop empathy, conflict resolution, and communication skills in a community-focused environment.
Calm and Restorative Time
We understand the importance of rest for young learners. Our program includes time for quiet activities such as reading, relaxation, or a restful nap for children who need it, ensuring they remain refreshed and ready to continue their learning journey.
Independence
The Montessori method emphasizes independence, and our extended day program encourages children to take ownership of their learning, from selecting activities to participating in group projects.
