Horizon promotes high standards of excellence in Montessori education.
We believe in giving your child the courage to be independent. We encourage our children to explore and be free within our childcare. We believe that through this action the children learn to be independent explorers and therefore, independent learners. They are promoted to pick up items and investigate. We encourage our children to dress themselves for the outdoors by putting on shoes and coats/sweaters independently. Help is of course offered, if needed, but it is in the best interest of the child to learn these activities and succeed and grow as they learn. Thus, we believe that the courage to be independent is what will ultimately lead to your child’s success

The Horizon Daycare and Out of School Care environment emphasizes structure and order. This is to represent the sense of structure and order in the universe.
Our Guides spend time meticulously arranging every material, furniture and classroom to attain a comfortable, homelike neutral environment. This is designed to attract different interests and attention in learning.
Children make use of real objects in the learning process. In our classrooms you will find real wood, reeds, bamboo, metal, cotton, and glass which are preferred to synthetics or plastics.
Our Horizon Educators affirm that education begins at birth and continues throughout life. While our primary focus is on the children in our care, our staff and educators also serve as a support system for all Horizon families, children, parents, and guardians, helping them continue learning and developing toward becoming whole, balanced, and healthy individuals.
I am, Fardowsa. I entered the field of education in 2022, focusing on nurturing pre-schoolers and fostering their development. I studied Early Childhood Education in Canada, specializing in the Montessori approach, and have spent the past three years studying child development. With a background in medicine, I bring a unique perspective to education, emphasizing the importance of holistic well-being. I am passionate about creating a supportive environment where children can thrive, explore their interests, and develop into confident, independent learners.
My goal is to empower both children and their families through innovative educational programs.
